, World Environment Day & National Ocean Month, Rivers For Change

June 5th: World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. This year the focus is to reimagine, recreate, and restore so that we can all be a part of #generationrestoration!

June has also been proclaimed National Ocean Month

June 8th is World Ocean Day

We’re celebrating with grant ambassador @klementovich who is on Day 3 traveling #sourcetosea on the #sacoriver on the ancestral lands of the Abenaki and Wabanaki. Athlete ambassador @cyrildx who is on Day 6 in the Pacific Ocean of his solo kayak to Hawaii, learning all about what the ocean has to offer. And @riversforchange co-founder John Dye and Board Member Amy Byers just completed the epic @seventy48 race in the beautiful Puget Sound home of the Coastal Salish Nations.

They are all enjoying the incredible offerings of our beautiful rivers and oceans and paying respect to how we’re all connected. How are you paying tribute today and every day?
