There’s a lot happening in Nevada City this weekend for the Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
“It is only natural that the South Yuba River Citizens League, (SYRCL) whose mission is to protect and restore the Yuba River and the Greater Yuba Watershed, would integrate the importance of watersheds throughout the Wild & Scenic Film Festival’s 10th anniversary. Because Nevada City is united by the Yuba River, as always, our 2012 official selections include strong films about rivers and the role rivers play in rivers in human communities. This year we are excited to include many organizations, who are partners in our shared concern for California rivers.”
We’ll be jump starting this incredible weekend of films and events on Wednesday, our first day on the water! Thursday we kick off with a Community Conservation Paddle Day, and throughout the weekend we will be a part of some amazing river events put on by the fabulous folks at SYRCL.
In addition we’ll be collection our first bits of data for Kris Yeager and kicking off the Stream View Project.
We hope you can come out and join us for an exciting weekend!
