Looking Back on a Great Summer

We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer and are enjoying the transition into fall! It’s been a whirlwind of a summer for RFC. From our ambassador teams completing a source to sea on the Kennebec to the premiere of the Grand Salmon Film, welcoming new board members, and hosting exciting events, we have been hard at work. Check out what we have been up to all summer and get ready for ways to get involved this autumn!

RFC Summer Recap

Our summer was full of conservation and adventure! RFC ambassadors paddled 175 miles from Source to Sea on the Kennebec River, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Edwards Dam removal. We headed to Missoula, MO for the premiere of The Grand Salmon film. We also teamed up with local nonprofits at Patagonia Freeport to share tales from this year’s Maine paddling journeys. To wrap it up, we hit the beach for a cleanup on World Rivers Day, clearing debris from Angel Island. Dive into all the details on our blog!

As we expand our ambassador, education, and Source to Sea programs, we’re at a pivotal point. To keep building, we must transition from a volunteer to a staff-led organization. Your support can make it happen!
