NariNauka: First Ever Women’s Whitewater Guide Training
– Breaking Waves and Stereotypes on Ma Ganga

Grantee: Jeremy Anderson

Jeremy and a team of female-identifying instructors recently finished a transformative 5-day guide training program at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagiathi Rivers, where they merge to form the sacred Ganges River in India. Their mission was to empower women through skill enhancement, exploration of historical and sacred sites, and deep engagement with the river tapestry of the Ganges, from its source to sea. Congratulations to all on the successful completion of this program! They finished this incredible initiative on March 28th.

“As we witnessed the girls graduating, tears welled up in our eyes. The bond, the support, and the shared joy of growth—it’s what defines our togetherness. We owe immense gratitude to our instructors; they instilled in us the belief that we could achieve anything.”
