The Kennebec River experienced a dramatic resurgence in water quality, wildlife, and economic opportunity with the removal of the Edwards Dam in 1999. We must continue this success by reconnecting Atlantic salmon and other sea-run fish to the Sandy River.
Join us for an event dedicated to reuniting the Kennebec River. Enjoy local food and drinks, a screening of the PBS short film, Paddling the Saco (about Joe’s 2021 source to sea down the Saco), and a panel discussion with policy and project experts working to restore salmon to this watershed. There will be a Q&A session with local environmental experts, as well as a critical opportunity to take action!
